I ride on the flats and hit 39 mph (without pedaling) re: 0-39
without the cranks used at all. I was curious if it had the power
and it did. I should time it out, but it seemed to begin slowly and
build nicely, probably 0-30 mph in 10 seconds. You have to
understand that I am NOT a typical weight rider and my tadpole
(trike) is only 20 inches up...I lay down and therefore I will have
a higher speed than a Mtb or DF Road bike. My trike weighs 39 pounds
and is designed for a faster speed. I on the other hand am in
desperate need of a diet (270 lbs at 6 ft. tall).

IF I was a rider of say 170 lbs., the acceleration 0-30 mph would be
much much quicker. I am also towing 53 lbs of 18Ah SLAs in a Cargo
trailer.

I have not doen any real hills yet...but this week I will try a few
and report back. I do suspect though the motor will NOT take a hill
given my weight, but a 170 lb. rider should have no problems.

My controller is a 20 amp (trike model) with the biggest heatsink I
have ever seen.

I will post some photos this afternoon on power-assist, so ya'll can
see what the Crystalyte lloks like on one of my trikes.

I have tried the Motor on 2 different trike designs and it works
well.

>  Hi Joshua,How fast have you got your new motor and bike going on
the flats, with no wind and no pedaling ? Do you know if they will
sell a 48 volt Li-Ion 10ah pack with the cherger for them? or a 48
volt 1000 watt constant controller? a 1600 watt controller would be
better to get up to speed faster if needed.(I'm usually speaking
without pedaling to get the motors performance by it self).I'm
thinking of trying the 9 and 11 turn motor they have, with my
controller at 60 Volts. Those large windings the hub motor has might
take it.
